When you see seven teenagers killing themselves in less then two years over their perceived sexuality in just one single school district you know there most be something wrong there. The Anoka-Hennepin school district in Minnesota, USA takes the position that teachers have to take a "neutral" stance on sexual orientation — which forces them to ignore anti-gay bullying.
Due to the suicides the school district is now part of a federal investigation and civil rights groups, The National Center for Lesbian Rights and the Southern Poverty Law Center, are threatening a lawsuit. CNN reports:
