A new project created in support of queer youth is making the city of Bangkok a much more colourful place. Launched in commemoration of the 2014 International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia on May 17, the School Rainbow project "promotes the drawing of rainbows, symbolizing diversity, around school gates and other settings where youth meet," according to organizers. As part of the project, Thai students chalked enormous rainbows in schoolyards around Bangkok "with the aim of bringing awareness to the problem of bullying," before the organizers talked about queer kids’ right to a safe education with the students.
