It took Obama only a couple of years to put civil rights over potential right-wing votes by endorsing same-sex marriage. Meanwhile the citizens of North Carolina voted to ban any form of marriage that doesn’t reflect their own lives thus proving why letting people decide over basic civil rights of minorities is a stupid idea.
