The British Scout Association says it intends to recruit more gay members and leaders in order to dispel the belief that gay people are not allowed to sign up. The Scouts, Britain’s most recognizable youth organization, has made public effort to reach out to gay members, issuing pamphlets and statements that detail their belief “that all young people, irrespective of their sexuality, gender, race, creed or background, have an equal opportunity to develop and to be themselves.” Read on…
